Weston

The Town of Weston was incorporated in 1713 and was transformed from an agricultural community to a commercial area when the Boston Post Road was established.  By the mid 1870's substantial country estates were built by prosperous Bostonians and the Town of Weston began it's development as a residential community.  The growth and development of luxurious homes around 1920 and after World War II continues through today.  It is considered to be one of Massachusetts most affluent neighborhoods.

The Town of Weston is twelve miles west of Boston.  There is a commuter train on the north side of the community; but there is no public transportation to Boston on the southern side of Weston.  Alternative roads leading to the commuter highways of Route 128 /Route 95 and the Mass Pike are easily accessible.

The schools in Weston are excellent and the recreational areas are extensive. There are miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, playgrounds, ball fields, golf courses and cross country skiing areas.  The shopping street of Weston is charming and reflects its history.
